Job Title: Automotive Detailer

Job Description

This role focuses on cleaning and detailing a wide variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, to a high standard of appearance and cleanliness. You will perform both interior and exterior detailing tasks and contribute to a smooth, efficient workflow in a busy automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and detail a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Perform interior cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets and seats, wiping down seats and interior surfaces, and cleaning dashboards and consoles.
• Clean windows and windshields thoroughly, ensuring clear visibility and a streak-free finish.
• Wash and clean the exterior of vehicles, including body panels, wheels, and other exterior surfaces.
• Follow established detailing procedures and quality standards to ensure consistent results.
• Work efficiently to meet daily vehicle throughput goals while maintaining attention to detail.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and cleaning materials.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in regular team meetings to support continuous improvement.
• Be open to training and learning new techniques to improve detailing quality and speed.
• Demonstrate reliability by adhering to scheduled shift hours and supporting overtime as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience or strong interest in automotive detailing, including interior and exterior cleaning tasks.
• Ability to perform general labor duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated, hard-working attitude with a desire to grow within the company.
• Ability to follow instructions and established processes for vehicle cleaning and detailing.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure vehicles are cleaned to a high standard.
• Capability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods while performing manual tasks.
• Willingness to work 1st shift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.
• Comfort working in varying temperatures due to open bay doors in the work area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive detailing or car wash environments is preferred but not required.
• Experience in general labor or other hands-on, physical work environments is beneficial.
• Openness to training and learning new skills, including formal certifications available after 90 days.
• Ability to work occasional overtime, including extending the day until 5:00 p.m. and rare Saturday shifts.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to participate effectively in team meetings and daily operations.

Work Environment

The role is based in an indoor car wash and detailing area with open bay doors, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will work primarily on 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime that may extend the workday until 5:00 p.m. The typical workweek is capped at around 50 hours, and Saturdays are mostly avoided but may be required at times. The environment is hands-on and physical, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and teamwork, and includes scheduled breaks with two 15-minute breaks and a one-hour lunch during the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
