Local Driver

Job Description

The Local Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining excellent customer service. Operating a company-provided vehicle, the driver will execute daily local routes, occasionally accommodating overnight stays. As part of a small team, the role reports directly to the Fleet Manager and demands strict adherence to safety standards and schedules.

Responsibilities

Navigate assigned local routes efficiently
Operate company-provided vehicles safely
Handle delivery and pick-up of goods with care
Adhere strictly to delivery schedules
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report issues
Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
Comply with all safety and traffic regulations
Maintain accurate logs of routes and deliveries

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in local driving roles

Preferred Qualifications

Valid driver’s license
Proven safe driving record and practices
Strong route navigation skills
Effective time management abilities
Excellent customer service orientation
Clear communication skills
Detail-oriented approach
