REGISTERED NURSE/or LPN, Acute Rehab Unit - Part Time Nights

Job Overview Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part‑time Night Shift at Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center at 6225 Sharlands Ave., Northwest Reno. The role supports acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services. Responsibilities Integrate patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population‑specific, and diversity needs into care assessment. Construct and implement care plans using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect activities related to diagnosis and co‑morbidities. Coordinate the implementation of the interdisciplinary care plan for assigned patients, developing goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs. Consistently complete hourly rounds to strengthen communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (pain, repositioning, toileting); proactively evaluate the environment to ensure it is patient‑friendly and safe. Collaborate with the patient's designated care partner to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. Follow communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs, using the SBAR process. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN or LPN/LVN program. Current Nevada nursing license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. One year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting preferred.
