About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience , advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online , and a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting. This position will own the accounting process from daily transactions through monthly close while ensuring financial information remains accurate, compliant, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Ledger Management: Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries while maintaining the general ledger.
• Accounts Payable: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and ensure timely payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Generate and issue client invoices, monitor aging reports, and conduct professional collections follow-ups.
• Payroll Administration: Process regular payroll, track employee hours and subcontractor payments, and manage related local, state, and federal employer tax requirements.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare, file, and report monthly and quarterly sales tax returns in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Month-End Close: Manage the monthly closing process, prepare financial statements including P&L and Balance Sheet reports, and analyze variances.
• Insurance: Maintain an understanding of business and health insurance requirements and related financial considerations.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Advanced, fluent knowledge of QuickBooks Online is strictly required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting .
• Experience with payroll processing and multi-jurisdictional sales tax reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
• Comfortable working with modern, technology-driven accounting integrations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with complete confidentiality .
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000–$80,000 annual salary , based on experience.
