Equipment Operator job at Associated Terminals. Reserve, LA. We are currently seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team of dedicated stevedores. In this role, you will operate and maintain various equipment, including track hoes, front-end loaders, and bobcats, to transport cargo to ship and barge holds, deck, and dock areas. This position requires rotational shift work in a marine environment and offers ample opportunities for growth and advancement. Responsibilities Operate and maintain assigned equipment safely and efficiently. Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on equipment. Transport various cargoes to ship and barge holds, deck, and dock areas. Perform manual labor to prepare or finish sites, such as shoveling materials by hand. Complete daily inspection reports and forward to maintenance as needed. Support company safety initiatives and comply with all operational directives and company policies. Qualifications Experience in a similar position in an industrial setting (preferred). Working experience in the stevedoring industry (preferred). Ability to safely operate assigned equipment. Thorough knowledge of rig operation and maintenance programs. Proficiency in equipment and deck operations. Physical fitness to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely.
