ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Report to administrator or designee for daily schedule Be flexible, as teacher absences will dictate the daily assignments Be professional at all times Follow all school rules, procedures, and district policies Professional attire is expected When assigned, assume the duties and roles of the regular classroom teacher Supervise and manage the classroom, including student discipline Supervision of students outside of the classroom during the school day as directed by administration administration Implementation of lesson plans left by the teacher to maximize academic time and motivate students to be engaged learners Assign tasks and homework according to the daily lesson plan provided Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interests of the students Take all precautions to protect equipment, materials, and facilities Foster a safe and positive classroom environment. Ensure appropriate constant student supervision and assure the health, welfare, and safety of students Report injuries, accidents, and issues to the school nurse or administration The permanent substitute teacher position may be a single classroom or in multiple assignments within a day

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess a Substitute Teacher Permit issued by the Indiana Department of Education or hold a valid Indiana Teachers License Prior experience working with students desired A degree from higher education is preferred but not required. Must meet all Clark-Pleasant employee eligibility criteria
