Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, and related conditions
• Perform and oversee procedures including CVC management, indwelling catheter care, heparin drips, and telemetry monitoring
• Utilize Meditech electronic documentation system for accurate and timely charting
• Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including weekend shifts (4 per 28-day schedule), holiday rotation, and floating rotation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency with IV pumps, SCDs, walkers, and standard Medical Surgical equipment
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with oncology patient populations
• General surgery patient care experience
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
