About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Executive Director to serve as a senior leadership partner, advancing the organization's mission and strategic priorities. This role is pivotal in supporting enterprise-wide operations, ensuring alignment, and translating strategic vision into effective execution. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director to drive organizational performance, coordinate key initiatives, and support the consistent delivery of services to members and stakeholders. Strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a complex, highly regulated, and politically sensitive environment are essential. The Deputy Executive Director will also be responsible for providing enterprise-wide oversight, translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, and serving as a senior advisor on governance, policy, and operational matters. Candidates for the Deputy Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of leadership experience, with a preference for those holding a master’s degree or JD. Proficient knowledge in pension and healthcare benefits, finance, and investments is required. The role demands a high level of political and organizational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and sustain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include budget oversight, financial planning, and resource allocation, as well as engaging in external matters and representing the organization with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive-level leadership, strategic decision-making, and problem-solving, and will be adept at leading cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and stakeholder outcomes.
