Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory located in McAllen, Texas. This position involves monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology studies and assisting in various cardiac procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: McAllen, Texas
• Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 5 days per week and a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas; minimum one year monitoring diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology studies experience; recent acute care experience; certifications including NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree highly desired.
• Additional Information: Knowledge of micropace would be helpful; the candidate must be willing to help educate staff at the facility; call requirement of approximately one day a week and one weekend a month minimum; position involves emergency and elective angioplasty, electrical therapies such as drug-eluting stents, electrophysiology, pacemaker implantation, and other cardiac care functions.
