Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students with diverse learning needs for the 2026-2027 academic year. A full-time contract position is available onsite for an experienced Special Education Teacher dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities and outcomes. This role is focused on providing specialized instruction to students with a wide range of disabilities, delivering engaging and adaptive lessons, and collaborating with a supportive educational team.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Thorough understanding of IEP process, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Ability to address the unique academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with various disabilities
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and administrators
• High level of professionalism and flexibility

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to diverse student needs
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
• Modify curriculum and lessons to ensure access for all learners
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Foster a culture of respect, belonging, and high expectations

This assignment runs from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day. Virtual interviews will be arranged, although in-person meetings are welcomed when possible.
