Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a talented and caring Ultrasound Technologist to join our expanding imaging team, driven by a commitment to providing outstanding patient care. Armed with cutting-edge ultrasound technology, you will conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, work closely with an expert team of clinicians, and help provide reassurance to patients through precise and timely imaging.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, explaining each process with empathy and precision
- Collaborate intimately with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Efficiently operate and maintain imaging machinery, swiftly addressing any technical issues
- Meticulously document procedures and manage patient records in the electronic medical system
- Remain informed about advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a comparable field
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
- Strong technical knowledge in sonographic imaging and patient positioning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities
- Able to operate independently and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
