Dracut, MA | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM The best Service Writers don't just process paperwork. They keep the entire shop moving. If you're the person who can coordinate technicians, communicate with customers, manage multiple repairs at once, and keep everyone on the same page, Equipment East wants to talk with you. We're looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our Dracut team. You'll be the connection between our customers, technicians, parts department, and service management, helping ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. What You'll Do Manage service work orders from start to finish. Communicate repair progress, estimates, timelines, and costs with customers. Coordinate repair schedules with technicians and service leadership. Ensure labor, parts, and service documentation is complete and accurate. Assist with parts coordination and job planning. Keep service records organized and up to date. You're Likely a Great Fit If You Have Experience As a... Service Writer Fleet Maintenance Coordinator Experience in heavy equipment is a plus, but we're also interested in candidates from trucking, fleet, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, power equipment, or automotive service who know how to keep a busy shop organized. What We're Looking For Two or more years of experience in a service writer, service advisor, or similar role. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple jobs. Confidence working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diesel or heavy equipment is preferred. Comfortable using computer systems and service management software.
