Anticipated Vacancy - Secondary Math Teacher (Full-Time) JobID: 444 Position Type: High School Teaching/ Mathematics Date Posted: 5/21/2026 Location: District Wide Title: Regular Education Teacher Reports To: Building Principal Job Summary To create a flexible educational program and a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish appropriate, effective rapport with students; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for furthering the student's education, in accordance with each student's ability; establish appropriate, effective relationships with parents and other staff members; and to fully implement the District's curriculum through effective instructional methods. Essential Functions Teach specified curriculum to students in a classroom using the curriculum adopted by the Board of School Directors and other appropriate learning activities. Instruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law, district approved curriculum, and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, utilize technology to enhance instruction, and provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Demonstrate understanding of and abide by federal, state, and local school laws and regulations, mandated programs, District policies and administrative regulations. Review and abide by Pennsylvania Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators. Translate lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a safe and inspiring learning atmosphere in the classroom. Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports. Communicate with parents through conferences and other means to discuss student's progress and interpret the school program. Identify student needs and cooperate with other professional staff member in assessing and helping students solve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic issues. Create an effective environment for learning through a functional and attractive classroom environment. Maintain professional competence through professional development activities provided by the district or through self-selected activities. Supervise students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day and on field trips when necessary. Administer group standardized assessments in accordance with district assessment program. Participate in curriculum development programs, faculty committees, and the sponsorship of student activities as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform in accordance with school policy, administrative regulations, state and federal laws.
