About This Role
About This Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Pre-K Teacher to lead our 3 and 4-year-old classroom in Mt. Juliet, TN. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters early childhood development and prepares young minds for kindergarten. You will design creative lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and build strong partnerships with families to support each child's social, emotional, and academic growth.
What You'll DoWhat You'll Do
- Implement age-appropriate, play-based curricula that promote language, literacy, math, and social skills.
- Provide a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment tailored to the needs of 3 and 4-year-olds.
- Assess and document child progress, sharing developmental milestones and updates regularly with parents.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and encouraging emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with school staff to organize school-wide events, and seasonal activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare facility.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and fingerprinting required by the state of Tennessee.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young children and their families.
Nice To Haves
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Familiarity with Tennessee early learning developmental standards.
- Experience utilizing digital classroom communication apps to share daily updates with parents.
