Lab Assistant

Labcorp is hiring a Lab Assistant in Burlington, North Carolina to receive, process, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, equipment maintenance, and maintaining laboratory safety standards on a Tuesday-Saturday, early morning schedule.

Responsibilities Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information Ensure equipment functionality and perform routine instrumentation maintenance Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish bench supplies Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and complete administrative record logs Requirements High school diploma or GED Comfort handling biological specimens and specimen identification accuracy Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency Ability to pass standardized color blindness test 3+ months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience (preferred) Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and communication abilities
