Job Title: LicensedElectrician- Data Center Commissioning Location: Greater Chicago - Portage, IN Pay Range: $53 per hour on Experis W2 What's the Job? Support the commissioning and certification of electrical data center equipment, including power systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and monitoring systems. Instruct and evaluate commissioning vendors to ensure proper execution of functional testing scripts and compliance with safety and quality standards. Conduct hands‑on field training sessions, assessments, and evaluations to verify vendor technicians' technical competency. Maintain accurate documentation of certifications, training outcomes, and evaluation records for compliance and quality assurance. Audit onsite commissioning activities to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and operational standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives. What's Needed? Active Journeyman Electrician license with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical systems within data centers or mission‑critical environments. Proven experience executing functional testing scripts for electrical data center equipment and systems. Strong knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution, electrical drawings, and system sequences of operation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to evaluate technical performance and provide constructive, professional feedback to vendors and team members. What's in it for me?
