Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Dallas, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/22/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 22, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced SICU RN for a night shift assignment at a Dallas-area hospital requiring TX or compact RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.Details\n \n Surgical ICU (SICU) unit with 16 beds\n Patient ratio of approximately 1:2\n Surgical patient population, especially oncology\n Assignments made according to acuity and staff skills\n Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitor\n Performs procedures such as central line placements, bedside thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations\n Meditech documentation system used\n Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM\n 13-week assignment length\n Flexible scheduling with schedules submitted a month in advance\n Floating required as needed\n Weekend and call requirements discussed during interview\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary license not accepted\n Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required\n BLS and ACLS certification required\n CCRN certification preferred\n Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocol preferred\n Meditech experience preferred\n US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration\n One professional reference required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing to surgical ICU patients, including oncology cases\n Follow unit dress code requiring royal blue scrubs, no artificial nails, and covered body art where feasible\n No visible piercings other than ears permitted\n Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer\n No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-751817.
