About the Role Video editor who understands storytelling, pacing, and audience retention. You’ll be editing both podcast content and lifestyle/business vlogs, turning raw footage into engaging videos that keep viewers watching. If you know how to make conversations feel dynamic, create cinematic moments, and edit with the YouTube algorithm in mind, we’d love to see your work. Objectives of the Role Cut dead space, improve pacing, and maintain viewer retention. Add B-roll, motion graphics, captions, zooms, sound effects, and music where appropriate. Color correct and mix audio. Design compelling intros and transitions. Deliver videos optimized for YouTube. Organize project files and meet deadlines. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience editing YouTube podcasts and vlogs. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects is a plus). Experience creating engaging edits similar to creators like: Reliable communication and fast turnaround times Preferred Skills YouTube Shorts/Reels editing Understanding of YouTube analytics and retention strategies Ability to suggest creative improvements rather than simply following instructions Our Culture At Shaka Wear, we move fast, think big, and take pride in what we build.
