Position Summary

This position will coordinate activities between Sales, Operations, warehouse personnel, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure orders are processed accurately, inventory is maintained properly, and shipments are completed on time. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Administration

· Create, process, and track supplier purchase orders and customer sales orders.

· Verify order information for accuracy, including quantities, specifications, pricing, due dates, and shipping requirements.

· Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers regarding order status, lead times, and potential delays.

Inventory Control

· Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate inventory counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution.

· Monitor inventory levels and assist with forecasting, replenishment, and material planning.

Logistics & Shipping

· Assist with carrier and logistics provider selection, performance, and cost management.

· Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, warehouse personnel, carriers, and customers.

· Resolve shipping issues and proactively communicate delays or other risks to the appropriate personnel.

Internal Systems & Process

· Maintain purchasing, inventory, shipping, and order documentation in accordance with the company's Total Quality System.

· Develop and maintain standardized, repeatable processes that improve efficiency and accuracy.

· Assist with the implementation of future business and ERP systems, including process documentation, testing, and data validation.

Cross-Functional Communication

· Work closely with Sales and Operations to provide timely and accurate information regarding inventory, orders, purchasing, and shipments.

Required Qualifications

· 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, inventory control, or a related field.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or a similar environment.

· Experience with inventory management or ERP systems.

· Experience with inventory forecasting or replenishment.

· Experience with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).

· Experience coordinating domestic or international freight.

· Experience working with international suppliers.

· Experience participating in an ERP or business-system implementation.
