About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse License in California Certifications: BLS, PALS, BSN Must-Have: Experience in Inpatient Pediatric PACU, familiarity with Epic charting system, ability to assess and manage pediatric patients. Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to work in the Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. The role will involve recovering pediatric patients who have undergone procedures requiring sedation or anesthesia. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments and monitoring during the recovery phase. Key skills required include airway assessment, medication reconciliation, and pain management. Experience with central line care, monitored anesthesia care, and discharge instructions is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to work in an interdisciplinary environment with various support services. This position may require floating to other departments as needed based on staffing requirements. Prior teaching hospital experience is beneficial for this role.
