Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned ICU patients under the direction of a licensed physician
• Utilize the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to individualize patient care plans
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with nursing practice standards and departmental policies
• Float to various units as assigned, including step-down, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders, with patient ratios not exceeding 1:3
• Provide care for a diverse patient population that may include critical care, IMCU, and specialty cases such as preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, and hyperemesis

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ICU setting; new graduates will not be considered
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
