Job DescriptionPosition: ControllerLocation: Bridgewater, NJ Salary: 130-150K + bonus Responsibilities and Duties:Establishment and implementation of accurate and efficient accounting processes and procedures.Delivering accurate, reliable and useful financial reporting and analysis to a variety of stakeholders including management, investors and creditors.Planning and supervision of year-end audit engagement and preparation of annual certified financial statements in conjunction with the company’s outside auditors.Support for the annual budget process, along with mid-year forecast updates to P&L’s, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.Interfacing with the company’s outside accounting firm in the preparation of Federal and State Tax Returns.Developing a team of strong accounting and finance associates.Preparation and review of monthly financial statements. Analysis of key accounts. Documentation and enhancement of the monthly financial close and review process, and other financial processes.Review and evaluation of operating results, communication of key financial and operational issues to enhance business performance.Ensuring that reviews and reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts are carried out on a monthly basis.Leading improvement of G/L functionality.Management of the accounting and finance team.QualificationsJob Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field, CPA strongly preferred.Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting principles, in-depth knowledge of accounting processes and systems. Strongunderstanding of internal controls.Experience in a consumer goods related company with sales to large national retail chains.Prior experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller in a small to mid-cap company a plus.Solid analytical and organizational abilities and effective communication skills are necessary. An ability to initiate change and drive improvement to our accounting policies, business processes and practices is key to the role.Proficiency in standard IT tools, along with significant experience in an ERP systems environment.Leadership skills, with an appropriately assertive, customer-oriented approach.Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic work environment.Additional Information130-150K Range + bonus Please email Resume to: View email address on click.appcast.io: Full-timeFunction: Accounting/AuditingExperience level: DirectorIndustry: Staffing And Recruiting
