ITU is the higher acuity adult unit (patients with thought disorder diagnoses), SRAD has patients that live a senior lifestyle. VINE is lower acuity adult unit.Type of equipment: Documentation system: MeditechScheduling requirements: We require coverage for three 12-hour shifts each day, seven days a week, including weekends. Please note that days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.Certifications Required: BLS and CPIHiring profile Requested Skill Set:Ability to assess patients' mental health status, including recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems.Care planning: Developing individualized care plans based on the needs of patients with mental health and behavioral issues.Medication management: Administering psychiatric medications and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.Crisis intervention: Providing immediate, short-term support to patients in crisis (e.g., suicidal ideation, aggression).Therapeutic communication: Building trust and rapport with patients through effective communication skills, active listening, and empathy.Procedures performed on unit: Monitoring patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs, mental status changes, and medication effects.Dress Code: (Required uniform) Or black Nurses wear blue, MHTs wear green or blackUnit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.Awards/Recognition: Please include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as, links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards.General Comments: No. of Positions: 2/2.
