This person will play an important role in keeping the accounts payable function running smoothly and accurately, processing approximately 400–500 invoices per month while working with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure payments are made timely.The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of their workload with minimal oversight. Reliability, follow-through, accuracy, and communication are especially important in this role.Duties will include:Process approximately 400–500 invoices per month received through both mail and emailReview invoices for accuracy, appropriate coding, documentation, and approvalsEnter and process invoices accurately and timelyPrepare and process payments via check and ACHManage recurring payments, including utilities and credit card expensesResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies, missing invoices, payment issues, and vendor inquiriesReconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding itemsMaintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentationCommunicate with internal departments to obtain approvals and resolve A/P-related issuesAssist with month-end accounts payable activities and reconciliationsMaintain organized documentation and follow established internal controls and proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within the A/P processAssist with additional accounting responsibilities and projects as neededIdeal candidate will possess:High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred3+ years of accounts payable experienceExperience handling a high volume of invoicesStrong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle, including check and ACH paymentsFinancial services or banking experience a plus, but not requiredStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsAbility to independently manage workload, prioritize responsibilities, and consistently meet deadlinesStrong communication skills with vendors and internal teamsDependable with strong follow-throughPerks:Competitive compensationOpportunity for professional growth and advancementComprehensive healthcare benefits401(k) with 3% company match2 weeks of PTO, plus additional sick leave
