Job DescriptionDavis Behavioral Health is actively seeking Two full-time Therapist to work on the Adult Substance Use Disorder outpatient team.This position is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and monitoring client progress using evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions. The therapist collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team, provides crisis intervention as needed, and maintains timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.Essential Job FunctionsResponsibilities are assigned to the Adult SUD Therapist include, but are not limited to the following:Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder assessments and diagnoses as appropriate.Develop individualized treatment plans consisting of mutually agreed-upon goals and objectives and update as needed.Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to decrease symptoms and improve functioning.Maintain agency standards for productivity and documentation.Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed to provide effective care.Participate in weekly staff meetings and regularly scheduled supervision.Complete all required training that is assigned to this position by the defined deadlines.Maintain professional and ethical standards.Other duties as assigned.In addition to the essential job functions outlined above, the following responsibilities are assigned to your specific position.Provide treatment to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.Provide crisis assessment and intervention when necessary.Ensure services support client stability, recovery, and functioning in the community.Work a minimum of 2 evenings per week.Facilitate multiple groups each week.Provide weekly court reports for specialty courts.Attend specialty courts as requested.Participate in yearly Recovery Days.Other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.Employment ScheduleThis is a full-time position and is normally assigned to weekdays. This schedule requires one evening per week and/or some weekend time. DBH reserves the right to require overtime, weekend work, and/or assignment to evening or night shifts, depending upon operational need, some in and out of state travel may be required.Work schedules at DBH are established to meet the needs of our clients and the agency. Program Supervisors, with the approval of Program Directors, determine the specific schedules for their assigned departments and have the authority to ask employees to work a different shift and/or in a different location on a short-term or permanent basis to meet the departments' needs.The proposed schedule for this position is outlined below:Monday 9:00 am to 5:00 pmTuesday 9:00 am to 5:00 pmWednesday 11:00 am to 7:00 pmThursday 11:00 am to 7:00 pmFriday 9:00 am to 5:00 pmLocationThis position works out of the DBH Main Street Clinic located at 934 South Main Street, Layton, Utah 84041.This position will work primarily out of the MSC office; however, there may be times when the individual is required to attend meeting at other DBH locations or in the community.CompensationThese positions is classified as full-time, exempt.Base RateThe base rate for fully licensed clinicians is calculated with a starting annual rate of $77,000.00 plus credit for years of full-licensure experience as defined below:$77,000.00 to $90per year is the approved base rate range1% per year for each year of full licensure added to starting base$3,000 Spanish-language incentive annual stipend (paid bi-weekly) available. Must pass a Spanish assessment.Under-licensed therapists (CSW/ACMHC) are compensated at a rate of $65,000.00 per annum. Required ExperienceThe successful candidate must be licensed as a masters-level clinician in the State of Utah. DBH's preference is to hire a fully-licensed LCSW; however, candidates with an active license in the State of Utah as a CSW, CMHC, ACMHC, or MFT will be considered. The Adult Mental Health Outpatient position requires full clinical licensure.Additional preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual English/Spanish.The following skills and abilities are essential:Clinical expertise in screening, assessments, diagnosis, and crisis interventionMust have skills in working with substance use disorders, and with individuals and families undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distressKnowledge of the ASAM patient placement criteria for determining level of care and guiding treatmentDemonstrates the skills necessary to motivate and engage clients their natural support systemsConsiderable knowledge of the techniques and principles of recovery, and mental health/addiction treatmentConsiderable knowledge of trauma-informed care, including screening, assessing, and treating from a trauma-informed lensGood organizational and practice management skillsAbility to work independently and effectivelyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and community agencies (such as courts, DCFS, workforce services, AP&P, etc.)Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work. One evening until 8PM is required for all Adult Substance Use Therapists; however, some positions have requirements for more evenings and weekends.This position requires one who uses social work methods and principles to observe, interpret, and evaluate data gathered through interviews, collateral consults, and assessment methods. Contacts, utilizes, develops and coordinates with community agencies and resources to support client needs.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required. Flexibility and knowledge of DBH and community resources preferred.The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.DBH utilizes an electronic medical health records system, so computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required.BenefitsDavis Behavioral Health, Inc. offers an incredible valuable and comprehensive benefits packages to eligible employees.
