Transportation Coordinator

The Transportation Coordinator facilitates and manages vehicle transport logistics for auction operations. This includes coordinating pick-up and delivery with customers and transporters, monitoring carrier performance, and ensuring vehicles are ready and available for auction events. Key Responsibilities Coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle transportation between customers, dealerships, and auction lots. Schedule and confirm vehicle pick-ups and deliveries based on auction timelines. Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal departments regarding transport status and issues. Inspect and verify vehicle condition and documentation upon arrival/departure. Reconcile transportation‑related discrepancies and resolve delivery problems. Track transporter compliance and performance; prepare related reports. Maintain accurate vehicle and transport records in inventory management systems. Support auction‑day operations, including staging and vehicle movement. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred). 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or administrative coordination (automotive industry experience preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related office software. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing schedules. Preferred Skills Knowledge of vehicle transport regulations and auction operations.
