Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Description

The Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining Snowflake ingestion pipelines,

closing data gaps between sandbox and production environments, and supporting AI agent

development within Snowflake’s Cortex/Coco ecosystem. This is a 6-month contract with potential extensions. This can sit remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain Snowpipes for automated ingestion from S3 and other sources

• Ensure accurate movement of data through EDW layers (raw → conform → production)

• Reconcile discrepancies between sandbox and production datasets

• Partner with analytics teams to enforce proper EDW governance and deployment processes

• Support integration work for new data sources, transformations, and stored procedures

• Assist in building and training AI agents within Snowflake/Cortex

• Improve reliability, consistency, and quality of data pipelines across the organization

Skills and Requirements

• 4–8+ years as a Data Engineer

• Deep experience with Snowflake, Snowpipes, and cloud-based ingestion patterns

• Strong SQL and stored procedure experience

• Experience with AWS Lambda

• Familiarity with DBT (nice-to-have but common)

• Understanding of AI agent concepts and LLM-driven workflows

• Ability to collaborate with analytics teams and enforce proper data governance • Healthcare data experience (EMR, HIE, claims, clinical data)

• Experience with Snowflake Cortex/Coco agent development

• Experience with 5Tran or similar ingestion tools (legacy familiarity)
