Accounting Clerk

Accounting ClerkLaSalle Network is hiring an Accounting Clerk to support a growing specialty retail and distribution organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys balancing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash management, and sales administration responsibilities while working closely with company leadership in a collaborative, small-team environment.Responsibilities:Manage accounts receivable by generating invoices, posting payments, reconciling accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on overdue paymentsHandle full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, 3-way matching, vendor reconciliations, and payment processingPerform bank, deposit, and petty cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate cash balance reportingCalculate monthly sales commissions and royalty payments while supporting invoicing accuracy and sales-related data entryPartner with the CFO, external accountants, vendors, and internal teams to support financial reporting, month-end activities, and overall accounting accuracyWhat's Needed:2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk experience with exposure to both Accounts Receivable and Accounts PayableQuickBooks Online experience required, including transaction entry, record maintenance, and daily accounting supportAbility to process high-volume transactions and invoices with strong accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office for data entry, reconciliations, reporting, and financial recordkeepingStrong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independentlyWhat's in it for me?Work directly alongside the CFO and gain broad exposure to accounting, finance, operations, and sales administration functionsJoin a stable, established organization in a highly visible role supporting critical business operationsMake an immediate impact within a collaborative, small-team environment where your contributions will be recognized and valuedKey Details:Location: Chicago, IL (100% In-Office)Employment Type: Contract-to-HireCompensation: $25-30/hour (heavily based on experience)Benefits: LaSalle Network consultants are eligible to enroll in benefitsIf you're an organized accounting professional looking for an opportunity to expand your experience across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and sales administration while working closely with leadership, apply today!
