It serves as the regional hub for Bristol Bay’s salmon fishery, home to the world’s largest wild sockeye runs and other Pacific salmon species. Dillingham is also the headquarters for the nearby Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, home to walruses, seals, migratory birds, and fish, and includes one of the largest wild herring fisheries in the world. Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Alaska Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university or Direct Entry Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing from an accredited college or university. Any combination of additional education, certification, and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Public Health, Decision Making, Interpersonal Skills, Partnering, and Analysis and Assessment. Equivalent To Those Typically Gained By Advanced post‑secondary education in nursing, public health, healthcare services, healthcare administration, or a closely related field that includes master’s level study in nursing and/or public health. Professional experience in public health, community health, international health and/or occupational health nursing. Special Notes Candidates not currently licensed by the State of Alaska, who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska and requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities, may apply for vacancies in this job class.
