What You'll Do

• Provide patient care on a newly established Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including sepsis, CHF, COPD, and post-op patients such as joint replacements or GI surgeries
• Administer medications and perform wound management including JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis catheter care
• Support bedside procedures and assist with patient assessments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, PT/OT/ST, and in-house radiology team
• Document patient care accurately on EMR (Meditech Expanse)
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or the ability to reciprocate
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience with Telemetry expertise
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Skills in wound management, IV therapy, hemodialysis care, and pain management
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
