Project ManagerKelley Engineered Equipment (KEE) designs and builds highly customized equipment for the tunneling and underground construction industry. Our work is fast-paced, hands-on, and requires a high level of ownership and accountability.The RoleKEE is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex, custom equipment projects from concept through delivery. This role owns the full project lifecycle, working across engineering and production to deliver high-quality systems on time and on budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the project lifecycle: from initial client contact through delivery and close-outOwn project financials: estimate, track costs, and manage invoicing and paymentsDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules: ensure milestones and deliverables are metCoordinate cross-functional internal teams (engineering, procurement, and production)Oversee procurement: vendor selection, negotiation, and contractsMonitor progress and proactively resolve risks or delaysServe as the primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations and resolving issuesEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standardsTravel to job sites as needed (~10-20%)Required QualificationsBachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field)Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyStrong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, forecasting)Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teamsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage demanding clients and resolve conflictsPreferred ExperienceCustom equipment or engineered-to-order manufacturingTunneling, underground construction, or heavy civil projectsFamiliarity with project scheduling tools (Wrike, MS Project, or similar)ERP or project cost tracking systemsBenefitsCompetitive salaryPaid time off starting at 3 weeks.Paid health insurance.Health savings account, with company contribution.IRA with employer match.Life insurance and long-term disability.Parental leave.KEE offers a fast-paced, hands-on environment where integrity, responsibility, teamwork, and the ability to learn and work hard are central to everything we do.
