Medical TechnologistValley Medical Group is seeking a per diem Medical Technologist to work in our Easthampton Health Center!Position: Medical TechnologistLocation: EasthamptonHours: Per diem. Schedule is flexible and to be determined at the time of the interview. NO NIGHTS! NO WEEKENDS!Responsibilities: Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Medical Technologist will collect biological specimens and perform general laboratory tests as ordered by healthcare providers to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Medical Technology1 to 3 years' experience in a clinical laboratory environmentASCP Certification or equivalentRelates the anatomy and physiology of body systems and anatomic terminology to the major areas of the clinical laboratoryUtilizes appropriate universal precautions in the workplace and knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environmentAbility to handle and process specimens for transportation/analysisComputer skills applicable to the health care settingAbility to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, and critical decision making.Ability to maintain organization and ability prioritize.
