Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation. Conduct legal research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. Engage in negotiations, mediation, and settlement discussions, striving for the best possible outcome for our clients. Conduct and defend depositions, draft pleadings, motions and briefs. Manage case files diligently, ensuring all relevant information, documents, and correspondence are recorded and stored appropriately. Communicate effectively and regularly with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and addressing their queries and concerns. Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest developments in law and in the legal industry. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with the Ohio State Bar. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong focus on personal injury, premise liability, and insurance claims. Proven experience in litigation, trials, hearings, mediation, and depositions. Exceptional case management skills with the ability to handle high case loads and meet deadlines. Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner. Proficient in legal research, with the ability to quickly and effectively understand and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and dedication.
