Facility Driver

Legacy Silverton Medical Center

Summary:
The primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and timely transport for patients In addition to basic transportation functions, the incumbent is required to communicate in a professional manners with the following: residents, medical/nursing staff, and family members..

Job Duties:

Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of the ambulette (wheelchair van) which includes: clients are properly secured with appropriate restraints, seat belts, and that wheelchair is locked appropriately.
Ambulette Attendant is responsible for client's comfort - to ensure client is comfortable during transport (van temperature is appropriate, blankets are available, etc)

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write and understand written instructions.
Certified in Basic First Aid
Current CPR certification
Current Ohio Driver's license
STNA license higlhly preferred
Comply with all safety related guidelines/protocols as it relates to patient transportation.
