Work Environment: Onsite / Field-Based

Industry: Heavy Civil Construction

Compensation: 80,000-120,000+/Year

We are an established heavy civil construction company in the Deerfield Beach area that is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, spending time both in the field and in the office, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction , particularly roadway, utilities, earthwork/dirt, or similar infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from planning through completion
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal leadership
• Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, invoices, and project documentation
• Track project progress and help identify potential delays, cost issues, or other risks
• Maintain strong communication between the field and office
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Assist with estimating and preconstruction activities when needed
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

Qualifications

• Previous Project Management experience within heavy civil construction
• Experience with roadway, utilities, earthwork/dirt, infrastructure, or similar heavy civil projects
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, costs, change orders, and invoicing
• Experience using Primavera P6 is highly preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Microsoft Suite
• Estimating experience is a plus
• Field experience is strongly preferred
• PE license or other relevant construction certifications/licenses are a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be comfortable working onsite and in the field
