NOSC Shift Lead Day Shift

We are currently seeking an Operations Shift Lead 3rd shift (6am - 3pm) to join the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) effort. This program is establishing a modern secure web service (SWS) operation as part of a state-of-the-art highly automated platform capable of supporting a rapidly expanding customer population. This position is based in Arlington VA and is 100% on-site.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate operations tasks during assigned shifts.
• Oversee Monitoring of network servers applications and infrastructure for outages and performance issues.
  Own incident triage escalation and resolution through closure.
• Coordinate with network systems security application and vendor teams.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs escalation procedures and operational runbooks.
• Review alerts and incidents for trends recurring problems and potential improvements.
• Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate operational documentation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance during complex incidents.
• Prepare incident reports shift summaries and operational metrics.
• Participate in major incident management and post-incident reviews.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 4 years of overall related experience with a Windows or Linux server environment. Additional experience education and training may be considered in lieu of degree
• An active TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position.
• Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II e.g Securityce.
• Candidate may be asked to obtain CI Poly in future
• Comfortable working 247 shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience leading an operations team or acting as a senior escalation point.
• Excellent communication and incident coordination skills.
• Strong decision-making under pressure. Must be able to make independent risk based decisions while leading a small team during outages.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Splunk or equivalent
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes particularly Incident Problem and Change Management.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow Jira or similar.
• Strong understanding of DNS DHCP VPNs routing switching
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Hands on experience in IT Cybersecurity Network Operations or Windows Server administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experienced with DISA and DISAs support to mission partners
• TS/SCI w/CI Poly Preferred
• Previous shift-lead or team-lead experience in a DoD military or cleared NOC/SOC environment
• Experience refining shift SOPs playbooks or escalation procedures based on operational trends
