The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of our ecommerce and digital platforms.

You'll work across customer-facing experiences, backend services and enterprise integrations, solving complex business and technical challenges at scale. This is a hands-on senior engineering role with significant influence over solution design, technical delivery and engineering practices.

You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and colleagues across multiple countries.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, building and supporting customer-facing digital products and backend services
• Developing APIs, integrations and business services across our technology landscape
• Working with enterprise systems including ERP, CRM and PIM platforms
• Contributing to architecture, technical design and engineering standards
• Improving platform scalability, resilience, security and performance
• Leading technical initiatives and driving continuous improvement
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand problems and deliver valuable solutions

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

You don't need to meet every requirement, but successful candidates will typically have experience in many of the following areas:

• Proven experience delivering complex software products at Senior Software Engineer level
• Strong full-stack development experience
• API-driven development including REST, GraphQL
• Event-driven architecture experience
• Building and operating software through CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Ownership of technical delivery from concept through to production
• Ability to influence technical decisions and help teams move forward
• Experience using Cloud services e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP

Nice-to-haves:

• TypeScript and Node.js
• Shopify or other ecommerce platforms
• Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or similar technologies
• Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps
• Microservices and serverless architectures
• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
• Experience with AI-assisted development tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
• Experience working within B2B commerce environments
• Knowledge of the solar, renewable energy or distribution sectors
