Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical First Assistant Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Under the direct and immediate supervision of a surgeon, the Surgical First Assistant provides aid in exposure, hemostasis and other technical functions that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. The surgical first assistant plays a vital role in patient care and assisting surgeons preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively.
