Position Title: Building Engineer / Maintenance Technician Industry: Residential / Commercial (Mixed-Use) Property Management Report to: Chief Engineer Status: Full Time, Direct Hire Jones Networking is recruiting for an experienced Building Engineer to join a high‑rise, mixed‑use community in Arlington, VA. Position Summary Perform completion of all maintenance / HVAC requests and apartment turnovers, assuring property maintenance remains in compliance with Virginia Landlord Tenant Laws. Complete assigned work order requests and abide by the make‑ready schedule. Assist with shop inventory, ensuring that all necessary parts are ordered in a timely manner and are in stock in time to complete work requests. Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, annual apartment inspections, move‑out inspections, pre‑move‑in inspections, and make‑ready checklists. Complete assigned maintenance tasks on vacant apartments. Perform minor/routine maintenance repairs throughout property on a daily basis. Ensure locks are changed and new keys are made following every move‑out. Comply with all OSHA regulations and any applicable laws regarding health, safety, or working environment. Qualifications Minimum five years of recent building engineer / maintenance technician / HVAC experience in residential / multi‑family property management. Experience performing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs. Experience troubleshooting, repairing and replacing boilers and chillers preferred. Proficient in appliance repair to include washers and dryers. Experience working on split system HVAC. Ability to read and comprehend ladder wiring diagrams and HVAC schematics with the capability to troubleshoot and perform repairs. Entrata and/or MRI Workspeed experience a plus. Ability to work on‑call for one week, every 3‑4 weeks. Current driver's license required, along with reliable transportation to respond to on‑call / after‑hour emergencies (as required) within 45 minutes. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jones Networking
