Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the Behavioral Health Customer Relationship Management (BH CRM) system for the State of Michigan. This position translates complex behavioral health operations into technical requirements for Salesforce-based applications, manages user ticket triage, supports QA testing, and creates training documentation.
- Location: Lansing, MI 48933 (Candidates MUST reside within 90 miles of Lansing)
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site required on Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
- Role Type: Contract (1-Year Duration, highly likely to extend)
- Interview Process: 2-Round Process (30-min virtual Teams interview with camera & screen share required, followed by a 1-hour on-site interview)
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Workflow Analysis: Partner with business owners, architects, and IT teams to translate behavioral health workflows into user stories, process maps, and technical specifications for Salesforce.
- Triage & Communications: Monitor and prioritize CRM inbox inquiries and user support tickets; draft and issue release notes, system change notices, and operational guidance.
- QA & Testing Support: Assist quality assurance teams with test case execution, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect tracking during high-volume deployment cycles.
- Reporting & Documentation: Assist with functional specifications for data warehousing, create job aids, web-based training materials, and support technical assistance learning sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Business Analysis: 5+ years of core experience gathering requirements, mapping processes, and documenting functional specifications.
- Salesforce Application Design: Demonstrated hands-on experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise solutions built on the Salesforce platform.
- Quality Assurance: Hands-on QA and testing experience (UAT, test script development, defect tracking).
- Location Constraint: Must currently live within 90 miles of Lansing, MI, to fulfill mandatory Tuesday/Wednesday on-site shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Government & Compliance: Prior experience working within Local, State, or Federal public sector environments, with knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP, or public health programs.
- Technical Ecosystems: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, contact center platforms (e.g., NICE CXone), or business intelligence and data warehousing frameworks.
