This 266-bed acute care hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, including specialized pediatric and senior care emergency departments, as well as a range of other health services such as:Bariatric CenterBehavioral Health CenterCancer CenterChest Pain Center with PCIComprehensive Breast CenterFamily CenterHeart & Vascular CenterOrthopedic CenterPhysical Therapy ServicesStroke CenterSurgical ServicesWound Healing CenterThe facility is dedicated to delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare to the communities served while emphasizing compassion, honesty, integrity, and respect.Unit Profile: Location: Tallahassee, FL Unit: RespiratoryUnit Specifics:Number of Beds: 266Patient Ratios: Unit staffing description availableType of Equipment: Various Ventilators and BiPAPsDocumentation System: MeditechSchedule Requirements: Minimum of three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekendsFloating Policy: Rotates throughout all inpatient unitsPatient Experience Requirements:Utilization of AIDET communication principlesRequired Skill Set:Critical Care & Emergency Care experience is a mustExperience with ICU, ER, and critical adult careWeekend rotations required, Level 2 NICU and pediatric care within scopeCertifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRPAdvanced Skills Needed:Aerosol treatmentsBiPAP managementVentilator managementDress Code: Scrubs are required.Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please review attached unit-specific policies and guidelines.Awards and Recognition: The Respiratory Therapy team consists of a diverse group of 30 professionals with varying experience levels. Staff collaborate across multiple disciplines to enhance patient care and hold competencies for advanced tasks such as intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assistance.
