Senior Warehouse Manager

The Senior Warehouse Operations Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume furniture and appliance distribution center. With a minimum of 8 years of industry specific experience, the successful candidate will oversee a diverse workforce of 39 employees and leverage TylerNet to optimize inventory accuracy, delivery efficiency, and facility safety. This is a high-level leadership role requiring a blend of technical expertise and executive-level people management.
Operational Strategy : Develop and implement multi-year operational plans to improve
throughput and reduce overhead. Focus on long-term scalability and facility growth.
Budgetary Oversight : Manage the warehouse P&L, including labor costs for 39 staff
members, equipment maintenance contracts, and facility utilities.
Change Management : Lead the team through process transitions, such as TylerNet updates or
the implementation of new safety technologies.
Vendor & Manufacturer Relations: Act as the primary point of escalation for major
manufacturers regarding freight claims, quality issues, or large-scale product recalls.
Job Requirements
Experience: Minimum 8 years in furniture/appliance warehouse management.
Software: Advanced proficiency in TylerNet and MS Excel.
Leadership: Proven success managing teams of 30+ individuals.
Compliance: OSHA 30-Hour Certification; deep knowledge of DOT and Fire Codes.
Physical: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in a 50,000+ sq. ft. facility.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Operational Excellence: Reducing "Cost per Unit Handled" by 10% within 12 months.
Inventory Precision: Maintaining 99.8%+ accuracy within TylerNet.
Safety Leadership: Zero "Lost Time" accidents across the 39-person team.
Staff Retention: Minimizing turnover through engagement and structured career pathing.
