Neurosurgery APP opening Äì Ocala, FL 40 miles from Gainesville; 80 miles from OrlandoPosition Details FT, permanent Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established neurosurgery team Work alongside 4 neurosurgeons, 4 APPs, 2 neurointerventionalists, and 2 neurohospitalists Inpatient and outpatient role within a comprehensive stroke center and Level 1 trauma center High level of autonomy in managing a wide range of neurosurgical cases and procedures Assignment Details Hospital duties: - Manage busy neurosurgery service - Participate in 3 operative days per week (20% cranial, 80% spine) - Perform bedside neuro-ICU and neurosurgical trauma procedures Outpatient clinic: - 2 days per week Shared call responsibilities Experienced providers preferred; prior neurosurgical and surgical experience required Clinical Details Patient population: Neurosurgical patients including cranial, spine, and trauma cases Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in neuro-ICU, neuro-step down unit, and neuro floor Opportunity to engage in operative, procedural, and clinic-based patient care Facilities & Support Level 1 trauma center with comprehensive stroke program Full neuro-ICU support Established and highly skilled neurosurgery team Requirements Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Prior neurosurgical experience preferred Prior surgical experience required Benefits Details Employed through HCA Physician Services Group Competitive compensation Comprehensive and flexible benefits program PTO and CME time/allowance Occurrence-based malpractice coverage Strong support system for clinical practice Community Details Ocala, FL: Affordable cost of living, access to outdoor activities, and family-friendly communities Close proximity to major cities and cultural amenities
