Elementary Music Teacher

Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate music instruction across multiple grade levels Teach vocal music, rhythm, movement, instrumental skills, music theory, and music appreciation Prepare and lead student performances, concerts, assemblies, and special programs Establish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and experience levels Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other members of the school community Maintain an organized classroom and properly care for musical instruments and materials Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required Valid teaching credential preferred Experience teaching music or working with children in an educational setting Strong vocal, piano, instrumental, or performance background preferred Effective classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively and support the mission and values of Fairmont School. Salary:50,000 - 70,000 plus benefits

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primarily an office/classroom position.May require significant degree of intermittent walking, bending, stooping, reaching,and stretching.May require lifting of up to 20 lbs.
