Physical Therapist AssistantThe Physical Therapist Assistant position will involve working in an acute care hospital setting. The PTA will see between 8 to 10 patients per day. Weekends will be required on a rotational basis with other therapists. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker who fits in with a dedicated and fun staff. Daily patient care will include individuals with various diagnoses such as trauma, respiratory, cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and surgical patients. Support services available include respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, and rapid response teams. The role involves the use of assistive devices, gait training, and the development of personalized home exercise programs. Strong communication and patient education skills are essential for this position.
