Dos Coyotes Border Café is a Northern California–born restaurant concept inspired by the bold flavors and spirit of the American Southwest and Santa Fe. For more than 35 years, we’ve been serving fresh, made-from-scratch food in a casual, welcoming environment where great hospitality and strong community connections come first. To this day, the core principles haven’t changed: serve delicious food, engaging atmosphere, exceptional value.

Our menu features flame-broiled chicken, citrus-marinated seafood, premium Certified Angus beef, and house-made salsas prepared fresh daily. Everything we do is rooted in quality ingredients, great service, and creating a place where both guests and team members feel at home.

We’re looking for an experienced  General Manager  who is passionate about hospitality, leadership, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, developing strong teams, and ensuring the restaurant consistently delivers a great guest experience while meeting financial goals.

Essentials of the Role

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure excellent food quality, service, and hospitality
• Implement systems and procedures that positively impact cost controls, including labor and food costs
• Balance the needs of the operations team while ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly day-to-day
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop team members and managers
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 25+ employees
• Write and manage team schedules to support business needs and labor targets
• Oversee or execute ordering and inventory management
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, food safety, and operational execution
• Identify business priorities and set goals to improve performance
• Support the team during service and be knowledgeable in all aspects of restaurant operations
• Ensure consistent adherence to Dos Coyotes service standards and hospitality culture
• Handle employee coaching, performance management, and documentation as necessary

Requirements

• 3–5 years of restaurant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage restaurant operations effectively
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Passion for hospitality and creating a great guest experience

Physical requirements include

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
• Ability to work in varying kitchen and restaurant temperatures

Candidates must have a  current Food Handler’s Certificate or obtain one upon hire.

This is a  full-time management position with an expected 45–50 hour work week . Managers may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
