Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Weekdays with Every Other Weekend Required | 36 or 48-Hour Contract Options Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate care nursing for a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, sepsis, and both chronic and acute medical and surgical conditions
• Maintain a 3:1 patient ratio within a 16-bed intermediate care unit
• Perform telemetry monitoring, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
• Provide ventilator management as required by patient acuity
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Float as needed within the unit and participate in every other weekend rotation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Active WV RN license or Compact license required; pending license accepted for submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and ventilator management
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis
• Flu vaccination required; medical exemptions must be supported by documentation
• Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an intermediate care, PCU, or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience managing a diverse medical-surgical patient population including sepsis and cardiac diagnoses
