Diesel Mechanic

Diesel MechanicWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and equipment. This role is ideal for hands-on mechanics who take pride in quality workmanship, safety, and keeping equipment operating at peak performance.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and related systemsPerform routine maintenance and preventative services (oil changes, brake inspections, fluid checks, etc.)Repair or replace engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, and brake systemsUse diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals to identify and resolve issuesComplete repairs accurately and efficiently to minimize downtimeMaintain detailed service records and document work performedFollow all safety procedures and shop standardsCommunicate repair needs and timelines clearly with supervisors and team membersKeep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organizedQualifications:2+ years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic (truck, fleet, or heavy equipment)Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulicsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issuesExperience using diagnostic equipment and hand/power toolsValid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop environmentReliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focusedPreferred Skills:ASE Diesel CertificationsExperience working on medium- and heavy-duty trucksWelding or fabrication experienceFamiliarity with DOT inspectionsWork Schedule:Full-time, day shiftOccasional overtime as neededWhat We Offer:Competitive pay based on experienceStable, year-round workOpportunities for skill growth and advancementSupportive, team-oriented work environment
