Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule: Days/Nights: 1:5; Weekends: 1:6

Assignment Details: Census: 32 beds

Requirements:

• RN license (GA or Compact)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Travel experience required (1st-time travelers not accepted)
• Telemetry competency required
• Experience managing continuous IV medications: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, Insulin drips
• Experience with arrhythmia recognition/management and basic post-PCI care
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring, IV/PICC/TR band care

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care for adults to geriatrics with common diagnoses including cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, and postoperative care.
• Monitor patients for hemodynamic stability and arrhythmias, managing cardiac drips and continuous IV medications as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management and support.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and medication management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities using the electronic medical record system.

Compliance / Notes:

• Maximum RTO: 7 days per contract
• If 1 major holiday occurs during the assignment, work it; if 2, work both; if 3, work two.
• Orientation hours: 36 (varies by contract length)
