Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a stepdown/med-surg overflow unit with a specialization in neurology. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a stepdown/med-surg overflow unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient assessment and care planning.
• Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and implement therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
• Support and educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in team nursing with a shared patient ratio of 1:12, alongside LPNs and med nurses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Level I Trauma center or large hospital setting.
• Experience in stepdown or neurology nursing is required.
• Travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Current nursing license compliant with NLC guidelines.

Schedule and Availability

This position requires availability for day shifts, with options for 36 or 48-hour work weeks. Weekend shifts are expected as part of a rotation.

Special Requirements

• Level I Trauma experience is essential.
• Candidate must be willing to comply with a 100-mile radius rule for travel nursing.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval cannot be guaranteed post-offer.
